GB Solar Case Study
Mr Tracey, Sheffield
Project Summary
Here at GB Solar, we're passionate about helping our clients achieve energy independence and a greener lifestyle. We were more than happy to provide several options to our client, Mr Tracey, when invited to quote for a PV & Battery system for his family home in Sheffield.
Using our bespoke design software, we were able to provide an in-depth proposal to our client, including a full breakdown of product and system size suggestions, ROI calculations, and generation figures over a 25-year period. We also provided a 3D rendition of Mr Tracey's property, and designed a system which would provide the best optimization based on a north facing roof. Our suggestion of a 5.65kWp system included x13 435Watt panels, powered by a 5.0kW Givenergy Inverter. With the addition of the 9.5kWh GivEnergy battery, the home would also benefit from storing excess solar energy generated during the day; utilizing it in the evenings or during power outages and enhancing their energy independence and grid reliance.
Mr Tracey's system is set to generate 4705kWh annually, with 43% of the energy exported to the grid - and with an SEG tariff, our client can benefit from payments from his utility provider. The system will also ensure our client has a significant reduction in his annual electricity bill - an estimated 81% to be precise!
With a 5.0kW inverter, GB Solar ensured that we gained prior agreement from the local DNO prior to installing the system. This was swiftly followed up with notification and commissioning details once our installation team had completed. With a full handover pack, including electrical certificates and MCS accreditation, Mr Tracey was presented with his GB Solar Handover pack upon completion of his project.

Customer Review
"Their customer service truly sets GB Solar apart. From my first interaction with GB Solar, I was impressed by their friendly and knowledgeable team.
Our initial contact via telephone, during which we discussed various options and I had the opportunity to ask numerous questions. The team promptly answered all my queries and provided a detailed quote along with a full property design within just a few hours. They handle all the necessary paperwork, including MCS and G99, and guide you through the steps related to your electricity provider and DNO. When making a significant purchase like solar installation, it’s essential to obtain multiple quotes. GB Solar’s pricing was competitive, but what truly stood out was their commitment to going the extra mile. They ensured that I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the quote. If you’re considering solar energy, I highly recommend giving Gareth and the GB Solar team the chance to provide you with a quotation. Their support before, during, and after installation is exceptional, and there are no pushy sales tactics. Plus, their pricing is very competitive.
From the scaffolders to the onsite installers, the entire experience has been a pleasure."
