Project Summary
GB Solar recently completed a bespoke 7.39kWp PV system installation for a homeowner in Barnsley, showcasing the potential for significant energy savings and sustainable power generation. This project incorporated premium components, meticulously chosen to maximize efficiency and durability. The installation comprised 17 high-performance 435W Jinko panels, shielded by bird guard for enhanced protection. We gained G99 Approval from the local DNO to install a 5.0kW GivEnergy inverter and also installed a market-leading 9.5kWh GivEnergy battery to provide exceptional energy storage. To further increase energy savings, we also proposed a MyEnergi Eddi Immersion heater diverter. This intelligent device prioritizes the use of solar-generated electricity for water heating, reducing reliance on the grid and of course, reducing the cost of the home's gas bills.
The estimated system performance predicts an impressive 53% self-consumption, meaning over half the generated energy will directly power the home. The remaining 47% can be exported to the grid, enabling our client to take advantage of the SEG tariff. This system will generate an estimated 5192kW of clean energy per year solely from solar power. This translates to significant cost savings on electricity bills and a smaller carbon footprint.
