Project Summary
We have completed this installation for a family home in Mansfield. Our client was looking for a Solar PV solution that would significantly reduce their reliance on the grid, and save money on their monthly electricity bills. Through a thorough consultation process, GB Solar designed a bespoke 5.005kWp system, presenting a full design and proposal that perfectly meets the clients requirements.
The system comprises x13 high performance JA Solar Panels, a 5kW GivEnergy Hybrid Inverter and a GivEnergy 9.5kWh Battery. This impressive battery storage unit is UK manufactured and will allow the family to store excess solar energy generated during the day and utilize it in the evenings or on cloudy days.
Mr Stevenson's system is anticipated to generate a remarkable 4,536kWh of clean energy annually through solar power alone, translating to a projected reduction in his energy bill of a staggering 78%. The system boasts a 65% self-consumption rate, meaning the family will utilize the majority of the energy their system produces. The remaining 19% of generated energy can be exported back to the grid, allowing the our client to take advantage of the SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) tariff. This government-backed scheme provides financial incentives for homeowners who export solar energy back to the grid.
