Mr Sargur, Sheffield
Project Summary
Our GB Solar recommended solution for Mr Sargur was a 6.525kW system with a 10kWh battery size. This would enable him to take 163% of his energy from solar, and save an estimated £1,005 in the first year. Our client will generate approximately 5,045kWh of clean energy per year, reducing their annual electricity bill by 78%.
Our install team were on site for a total of two days. We selected JA Solar panels, installing a total of 15, each protected by a bird deterrent kit. We used the unique Enphase Energy IQ8 micro-inverters, to give a total inverter rating of 5.7kW. These IQ8 inverters attach to individual solar panels ensuring they individually optimized. This means they are more efficient, more resilient against failure and ensure better longevity. The maximized energy output works even under non-ideal conditions like partial shade.
The IQ Battery has a total usable energy capacity of 5.0kWh and includes six embedded microinverters with 3.2kVA power rating. Our client opted for two batteries, offering him a total of 10kWh battery storage.
