Project Summary
GB Solar is proud to showcase the successful installation of this PV and Battery storage system for our client, Mr Painter, based on the Lincolnshire coast. Our client contacted us with a desire to reduce his carbon footprint and energy costs. We were pleased to have then designed and implemented a solution that not only meets his current energy demands but significantly surpasses them.
Prior to his Solar PV installation, Mr. Painter's annual electricity consumption averaged around 3,500 kWh. With this in mind, GB Solar designed and installed a 6.5kWp system featuring x15 high-efficiency JA Solar panels, which were also fitted with a discreet bird deterrent to ensure long-term performance and aesthetics. The system is powered with a GivEnergy 5.0kW Hybrid inverter, and complementing the system - a 9.5 kWh GivEnergy battery - providing ample capacity to store excess solar energy for later use.
Mr Painter's Solar PV & Battery system is projected to generate an impressive annual output of 5,316 kWh of clean electricity. This output significantly exceeds Mr. Painter's previous annual consumption, resulting in a remarkable consumption offset of 152%. Mr. Painter is projected to see an annual reduction of 78% on his electricity bills, leading to substantial long-term savings. Furthermore, with the integration of the GivEnergy battery, Mr. Painter can now utilize 59% of the solar energy generated directly within his home, maximizing his energy independence. The surplus energy generated, accounting for 41% of the total output, will be exported back to the national grid, allowing Mr. Painter to benefit from payments through the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariff, further enhancing the financial returns of his investment.
