GB Solar Case Study
Mr Hatton, Notts
Project Summary
Here's 7.44kWp of Solar + Tesla Power, installed in Upton, Notts. Our client, Jonathan, opted for the market leading Tesla Powerwall 3, which is proving a very popular choice in our enquiries and installations at the moment. We paired with x16 high performing 465watt Aiko panels, each protected with bird deterrent mesh. Our designs and calculations predict that this PV & Battery system will generate approx 6,144kWh annually. This surpasses the client's annual average use of 5,250kWh which means our client will definitely see the benefits on his electricity bills - an 88% reduction to be exact! Our client will now be generating more energy than his household needs, meaning the surplus can be stored or exported.
Let's look at the benefits of opting for the revolutionary Powerwall 3...
1. The Powerwall's built-in inverter produces up to 11.04kW generation per day. Mr Hatton's system has a self-consumption rate of 65% meaning he can export 35% of this generation back to the grid.
2. A battery with 13.5kWh of usable storage - Jonathan will store energy during the day and use it at night. Or, by using a SEG Tariff, get paid for sending it back to the grid!
3. Power cut? No worries! The Powerwall 3's seamless back up power will automatically kick in and keep our client's home running smoothly for up to 24 hours.
4. Smart Energy Management - We've introduced Mr Hatton to the Tesla App - now he can gain real-time insights in monitoring his energy.
5. Save on Energy bills - Maybe the best bit? Jonathan's going to save approximately £954 a year on his electricity bill.
DNO requirements meant we had to gain permission from the local DNO before we could connect to the network. GB Solar handle this process, and we liaise with the DNO on our clients behalf. We obtain the necessary paperwork for the connection, and ensure our clients are handed over with the right paperwork to pass to their utility provider. We produce a full handover pack upon completion, which include all electrical certificates and commissioning details.

Customer Review
"Excellent company to deal with. My project was for Solar Panels and Battery Storage, and began with a slow start (due to the local council.) Steve and Gareth stayed in touch over the 2.5 years it took to get the consent I needed.
GB solar have been amazing the whole way through, and continue to be an excellent support if I have any questions. The team is always happy and prompt at replying. I continue to recommend theme to anyone that asks about solar."
