GB Solar have completed this Solar PV and Battery installation for a homeowner in Chesterfield. Mr Bolstridge contacted us to help him find a solution to reduce electricity bills and enhance energy independence. He sought a reliable and efficient system that would maximize self-consumption and minimize reliance on the grid. We were pleased to have designed and installed a 5.9kWp system featuring 14 high-efficiency Jinko solar panels. This system was paired with a GivEnergy 9.5kWh battery and a 3.6kW GivEnergy inverter. The results of the installation have been impressive. The system produces an estimated annual output of 3560kWh, enabling the client to source 102% of their energy from solar. Notably, the client also achieves a 75% self-consumption rate, directly utilizing the majority of the generated solar energy. The remaining 25% of excess energy is exported back to the grid, benefitting Mr Bolstridge financially through SEG tariffs. This PV System and added battery has produced a 69% reduction in the client's annual electricity bill, with a projected payback period of under 7 years. During peak summer months, the system generates up to 18.1kWh, while the client typically consumes 8.1kWh. Our client's system was installed by our experienced GB Solar installation team and notified under G98 to the local DNO. As always, GB Solar fully adheres to all certification requirements and ensured our client was given a handover pack which included all commissioning documents, MCS registration and connection permissions.
