What is ‘Octopus Trusted Partner’?
Octopus Energy have created an affiliate network of verified partners who share their same values, customer service, quality standards and workmanship. With an influx of low-carbon technology enquiries, Octopus created their new scheme in a bid to help customers in securing local and trusted installers who can offer them the same ‘laser-focused commitment to quality and outstanding customer service.’ Together, we aim to bring affordable green power to homes nationwide.

GB Solar have had rigorous checks and verifications by Octopus Energy to ensure we align with their standards. Our customer reviews have been studied, social media accounts audited and our qualifications checked. Our technical accreditations include MCS, NICEIC, OZEV, plus a whole host of manufacturer approved installers including GivEnergy, SolarEdge, Enphase and Tesla. We also ensure our customers are protected by strict consumer standards, with registration to HIES as standard. Our workforce are all proud GB Solar employees, and we adhere to strict Health & Safety legislation and insurances.
How does it work?
Customers reaching out to Octopus Energy for low-carbon technologies (these include Solar PV, Battery storage, Heat Pumps and soon – EV Charging) will be referred to local installers, should Octopus be unable to help. Customers will be presented with a proposal, quotation and full project management from GB Solar, plus we will handle the full installation, electrical & DNO certification and your handover paperwork.

What services do Octopus Trusted Partners offer?
The Trusted Partners programme is now fully operational for Heat Pump and Solar PV & Battery quotations. We will receive Heat Pump enquiries through our sister company, Warm GB.
From mid-November, Octopus hope to extend these services to include EV-charging also.
Why are Octopus launching this scheme?
The simple reason? Octopus Energy have a lot of customers reaching out to them, but they can’t help everyone! The trusted partners scheme enables local installers to help customers who may be out of Octopus’s service area, but it also puts the trust into GB Solar as specialist installers, who have significant knowledge and experience in working with complex installs. Complex installs may include projects that have different roof aspects or tile specifications, large scale PV projects, or Heat pump installations with high heat loss calculations.

For those making the switch to Octopus, we can share our unique code which will ensure you receive £50 bill credit for signing up to a flexible or fixed tariff. Once your system is installed and live, we can talk you through how to benefit by switching to an Octopus smart or intelligent tariff.
