Mr Young, Sheffield
Project Summary
We were pleased to have worked with Mr Young for a Solar PV installation on his home in Sheffield. Installing a 1.760kWp system, we designed a solution which boasted the latest modern and high spec components including x4 435 watt Jinko solar panels, a 1.76kW Enphase Energy inverter and 10kWh of Enphase Energy battery storage. This install was of slightly different layout to which we would expect of a traditional on roof system. Our client has a flat roof. We therefore used a Renusol consoles as a mounting system, which enabled us to position the panels in the best angle to ensure optimal performance.
We used bespoke software to design a proposal that is personalised to our customer, and Mr Young received projections of proposed generation and savings based on his current energy usage at home. This system is estimated to generate 1,423kWh through solar alone, giving our client 100% self consumption, enabling him to become completely self-sufficient and 'off grid.' The benefits would of course enable him to run a much more greener and sustainable home, but also reduce his annual electricity bill by approximately 23%.
The GB Solar team completed the project with a customer handover pack and certification including MCS and HIES protection. We handled all DNO notifications, ensuring our customer gained connection approval and could benefit from the SEG tariff. Our install team were onsite for a total of two days.
