GB Solar Case Study
Mr Edwards, Newark
Project Summary
GB Solar were happy to work with Mr Edwards to provide a quotation for a Solar PV and battery system for his family home in Newark. We put together a full design and proposal, to provide our client with not only a detailed breakdown of performance, product specification and a projected savings calculation, but also a stunning 3D visual representation of how they can expect the system to look on their home.
Based upon our clients current energy usage, we proposed a total installed capacity of 5.31kWp, enabling Mr Edwards to generate over 109% of his energy from Solar. The addition of a 9.5kWh GivEnergy battery and a MyEnergi Eddi will allow him to maximise his self-consumption by 62%, thus becoming much less reliant on the grid for both his electricity and gas usage. Mr Edwards will save on his utility bills throughout the year thanks to the systems ability to charge cheaply overnight using lower cost off-peak tariffs. This system is set to generate 4,365kWh annually, allowing our client to export 34% of this to the grid and benefit from the SEG payments.
This impressive system will offer our client an ROI of just under 8 years. GB Solar are proud to offer exceptional handover service to our clients, and Mr Edwards was fully set up with access to his monitoring portal and given a detailed walk-through of his new system with our lead engineer before we left site. This was also followed up with a handover pack including all electrical certification, MCS and of course, DNO acceptances.
