- Increased power output: The Powerwall 3 has a built-in inverter, which can output between 3.68kW and reach 11.5kW. Compared to the Powerwall 2, this is a significant jump in continuous power output – a 130% increase to be exact.
- Higher load starting: The Powerwall 3 can handle larger loads with a 185 amp load start rating, 75% more than the Powerwall 2.
- Expandable design: Your system can be expanded with up to 3 additional batteries, to reach a total capacity of 54 kWh. This gives home owners the flexibility to design a larger system customised to their needs.
Designed for Efficiency:
- Integrated inverter: The Powerwall 3 incorporates an integrated inverter, eliminating the need for a separate unit. This gives a cleaner looking system with less components, and streamlines the installation process.
- Optimized energy : The Powerwall 3 benefits from 3 built-in Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) that optimize energy production from your solar panels under varying conditions including shading.
- Solar system compatibility: The Powerwall 3 can handle up to 20 kW of solar input, making it suitable for even larger solar panel systems.

- The Powerwall 3 is built to withstand extreme weather conditions, giving you more flexibility in choosing an indoor or outdoor installation. This unit can operate in varying temperatures from -20 degrees to 50 degrees. In addition, the Powerwall 3 will maintain normal operation in flooding of up to 60cm.
- Storm Watch feature: The Powerwall 3 can cleverly detect power outages, charging to full capacity in preparation for grid failure. The Powerwall 3 will then become the home’s sole energy source to maintain essential appliances.
