Mr Cadman, Worksop
Project Summary
Our client approached us for a full design and quotation for his detached home in Worksop, Notts. Following an in-depth chat to ascertain the family home's needs and current usage, we proposed a 7.395kWp system.
This included the marketing leading GivEnergy All-in-One; a combined 13.5kWh home battery and inverter. A SolarEdge 6kW inverter and and Jinko panels, each boosted with SolarEdge optimizers. Our design would maximise Mr Cadman's roof space by designing a layout of 17 panels in total.
Thanks to this meticulously installed 7.395kWp solar PV system, our client's home is poised to generate a whopping 6,358kWh of green electricity each year. Our calculations estimate a £2,124 saving in the first year alone. That's a staggering 82% reduction in the homeowner's electricity bill. The system also generates enough energy to significantly offset the home's dependence on traditional electricity sources.
We used black PVC Coated bird deterrent to protect the panels once mounted on the roof, and also installed a 7kW Zappi EV Charger. This install was completed within 3 days and swiftly handed over with a full GB Solar Owners Manual including MCS Certification and commissioning documents and DNO connection confirmations.
18 months on from the installation, we were over the moon to have received further feedback from Mr Cadman about the performance of his system: “I have to say, I am very impressed with the system and the production levels. We produced 6.93mWh in the first year! This far exceeded the estimated 6.35kwh and has seen our energy costs plummet. We managed over 50 kWh on 1 day in May 2024! The Apps are really easy to use and improving all the time, particularly the GivEnergy app that allows more flexibility now to export surplus battery power at the end of the day. It seems we used just over 10,000kwh April to March. Obviously a lot of that is 7p overnight cars and battery top up though. This year, March and April have been fantastic. I think I'll do 1mwh this month looking at the forecast! My biggest worry with Solar was being overstated on what it would deliver, so to see it come out comfortably higher is great!”

I was given a full run down on the system and helped with access to the apps on my phone. Post the system being installed the paperwork with the DNO was completed swiftly to allow for export tariffs to be set up and despite a manufacturer issue with one of the panels, it was resolved within a couple of days with the panel being replaced.
